Our hourly rate right now is a mere $22.00 per hour.  This rate is guaranteed as our highest rate until 2010.  This super low rate is far lower than the vast majority of the competition yet we still provide the highest quality work that only years of experience and a creative vision can provide. 

Why is paying by the hour a better deal for you?  Package deals sound great, and I will even offer a few (always at discounts over my hourly rate) BUT if you don't know what the hourly rate behind them is, you could be getting ripped off and not even know it.  For example, some companies will offer a cheap website package for "just $400.00" or something like that.  You'll get a few pages and a few basic graphics but for all you know it took the company just four hours to slap together the "cheap website" for you and they are charging $100 an hour for their "efforts".  For the same overall price, with Vortex Design, you would get over eighteen hours of dedicated work on your project.  Plus, billing by the hour, we can work on the project in bits and pieces, to better fit into your budget.  You only pay for what you can afford when you can afford it.  Makes a bit more sense, doesn't it? 

We're not interested in getting rich, so we don't rip people off or use shady sales tactics.  Our main interest is to help small to medium sized businesses in every way we can, while doing what we love (and making a fair living). 

Keep a few things in mind while shopping around:

• I will provide a copy of my, or any associates, resume and qualifications if requested.  Will the other guys?
• I live and work in the USA, in the state of Ohio.  I never outsource to another country just to get cheap labor. If I need assistance with a large project, I make sure to try to hire locally too.  Can the other guys guarantee that?
• I will provide my home office phone number, mailing address and Yahoo messenger ID to all current clients if requested.  Will the other guys?
• I pride myself on dealing with clients honestly and ethically.  I work hard to make sure my clients get what they want and will sometimes work free hours to make sure they are happy.  Can the other guys say that?
• Though this site may make references to "us" and "we", that is only for technical accuracy as I do rarely subcontract work.  For the most part though (99% of the work), it's all me.  I am the owner, designer, developer, accountant, saleswoman, customer service representative, receptionist and more.  When you do business with VortexDesign.com you will never get the fifteen person run-around just to ask one question or get something simple accomplished.  Can the other guys say that?
