Do
you just need another client to
supplement your existing
freelance income? Well,
then you've come to the right
place. Below are some of
the positions that we are
looking for, so check them out
and contact us if anything looks
like "you".
Graphic Designer -
Looking for someone with a working knowledge of print and
pre-press. Position might include design work or simply preparing
documents for printing. The better your portfolio, the more creative work
we might throw your way. Am more than happy to consider fresh graduates
and non-degreed designers with experience. This position is on a freelance, as-needed basis.
The pay rate is $10.00 per hour (I know, it stinks, but this is Youngstown and
my rates are too low to pay well). Pay rate is NON-NEGOTIABLE.
Raises for long term freelancers are based solely on whether or not I get a rate
increase myself. There are no benefits. You are responsible for your
taxes, not me (if you happen to make enough, you might get a 1099, but that's
it). Payment is through PayPal only for the moment. Must
be able to make a commitment to be available on part time basis for an extended
period of time (I'd like to know I can count on you being around when I need you).
Accepted designers will be allowed to showcase their work on the site, if
desired, in a manner decided by me. You will have the luxury of sitting at
home in your PJ's or going to the park to work, or whatever. You may only
need to meet with me once or twice a year.
To apply for this position, send your resume, a list of all
programs you have access to and your level of expertise on each, a link to your portfolio and a
cover letter to apply@vortexdesign.com. That's it!
Savvy Sales Genius -
I am looking for an intelligent person, preferably
with allot of rich friends in need of design work (just kidding), who is great
at drumming up business and keeping clients happy in a friendly, ethical and non
sleazy way. This position also
doubles as a customer service position as the client will come to you with many
issues and requests. This is a freelance, independent contractor,
commission only position! Commission is set at 10% of GROSS for all
projects you bring in that are PAID FOR (You get paid when I get paid).
Bonuses for meeting monthly quotas. If proper customer service is
provided, then you will also get a residual commission on projects for long term
clients you've brought in of 3%, for the life of your employment. This
position, even under the best circumstances, will not bring in a full time
income. This position is best for someone just looking to pick up some
spare cash each month or those in need of part time like income. There is
some minor training involved, a fairly loose dress code for client meetings and
a code of conduct/ethics. The more familiar you are with the internet,
computers or web design, the better. I will work with you to provide any printed
sales materials you feel are necessary for the sales process. Must be
willing to sign Non-compete agreement and Code of Conduct/Ethics agreement.
You can work when you want, bring in clients when you want and slack off when
you want. Basically, I am looking for ONE great salesperson to work with
over a long period of time. If you think you're right for this gig, send
your resume with a cover letter to
apply@vortexdesign.com.
Flash Freak - Need one
good Flash developer for random projects.
Must be able to demonstrate a good grasp of
the program, including moderate action
scripting.
Am more than happy to consider fresh graduates
and non-degreed Flash developers with experience. This position is on a
freelance, as-needed basis. The pay rate is $10.00 per hour (I know, it
stinks, but this is Youngstown and my rates are too low to pay well). Pay
